The Verdugo Jobs Center/Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) program in collaboration with the Employment Development Department (EDD), Glendale Department of Rehabilitation (DOR), and State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD) would like to invite you to the 3rd Annual Disability Resource Fair on October 23, 2019.
The Disability Resource Fair is featuring the State Council on Developmental Disability (SCDD) who will be presenting a film clip highlighting employed people with disabilities’ success stories and sharing other resources to encourage and empower the disabled population within the community to return to the workforce

The Verdugo Jobs Center has been awarded the Verdugo Sector Skills Project, which is a grant that provides free vocational training and job placement services to individuals that have been affected by recent layoffs from 10 specific companies such as, Nestle; Shire; Disney; Castaway and many more. Disability Employment Accelerator Grant
The Disability Employment Accelerator (DEA) grant provides employment opportunities to people with disabilities. The Verdugo Job Center works with community partners to assist these individuals with training, resume writing, career guidance and work readiness workshops. Verdugo Job Center also provides training in Information Technology and Computerized Numerical Control. These programs, held at Glendale Community College provide case management, soft skills, work experience and on the job training.
